Phoenix Ascent โ€” Creative Ascent From Within ยท Last updated: July 15, 2026

"Shepherds the flock of God that is among youโ€ฆ being examples to the flock." โ€” 1 Peter 5:2โ€“3

Our Heart Toward Your Privacy

Friend, thank you for being here. This is not a place that harvests people โ€” it's a place that tends them. Everything you pour into Phoenix Ascent, whether it's a prayer you've carried for years, a chapter you're afraid to show anyone, or a clip you're still shaping, we treat as sacred ground. We're shepherds of a creative community before we are a platform.

So here is the simple version before the full one: what you create here belongs to you. We don't sell it. We don't quietly build a profile to advertise against. We connect to services like Google only when you ask us to, and only to do the thing you asked. And whenever you're ready to take your work and walk, we hand it back whole.

The longer version below is written plainly, because you deserve to know exactly what we hold, why we hold it, and how you can hold us to it. If anything ever feels unclear, reach out โ€” we mean it.

1. Who We Are

Phoenix Ascent (that's "we", "our", and "us") runs pheonixrisinfromwithin.online and this whole creative ecosystem โ€” a studio for writers, mentors, and creators where biblically-grounded AI walks beside professional project and media tools. We're not a neutral space. We're a community that has chosen to follow Christ and to build with that same heart. That commitment shapes how we handle your information too.

Our North Star here is Colossians 3:23 โ€” "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters." That includes the unseen work of guarding your data.

2. What We Receive From You

We only gather what genuinely serves you. Here's what that means in practice.

What you hand us

  • Your account โ€” your name and email when you join or are invited in.
  • Your profile โ€” the bio, faith story, and images you choose to share.
  • Your work โ€” prayers, posts, journals, reflections, projects, chapters, and media you entrust to the studio.
  • Your preferences โ€” the settings you save so we can honor your choices.

What comes naturally from use

  • Activity โ€” pages you visit and actions you take, so we can improve and personalize the studio.
  • Community moments โ€” prayers you lift, posts you publish, reactions you give, and fellowship you join, where you choose to make them visible.
  • Connection details โ€” IP address, browser, and device info needed to serve and protect the app.

What comes through connected services

When you link a Google account, we receive only what you authorize โ€” your email and the specific Drive files you choose to import. We never scan your whole account or poke around where you haven't pointed us.

3. How We Use It

We use what you entrust to us to help you climb โ€” never to pull you down.

  • To run and personalize your studio, your community, and your spiritual growth tools.
  • To craft the daily reflections, digests, and morning briefings you've asked for.
  • To connect the services you request (Google Drive, YouTube, Calendar, and so on) only for the feature you're using.
  • To shape content kits, captions, and repurposed media from what you submit.
  • To keep the community safe and Scripture-aligned, and to respond to flags and prayer needs.
  • To operate, secure, and improve the platform itself.

And to be clear about what we don't do: we don't sell your data, we don't use it to serve third-party ads, and we don't train public models on your private work. Your prayers and your pages stay yours.

4. How We Share It (And How We Don't)

Proverbs 11:13 says "A gossip betrays a confidence, but a trustworthy person keeps a secret." We want to be the trustworthy kind. We share only:

  • What you choose to make public โ€” posts, prayers, showcase submissions, and profile content you publish to the community.
  • With the trusted helpers we must use โ€” hosting, email, and AI providers who keep the lights on, all bound by contract to protect your data.
  • When the law compels us โ€” only to the extent legally required, and never more than we have to.
  • With your yes โ€” anything beyond that, we ask you first.

5. Google and Other Connected Services

When you connect a Google account โ€” Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Calendar, Classroom, Gmail, or YouTube โ€” we follow Google's API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use rules. In plain terms:

  • We ask only for the scope each feature actually needs โ€” nothing broader.
  • We touch your Google data only to do the thing you started (like importing a file you picked into your studio).
  • We don't hand your Google data to anyone for advertising or for unrelated purposes.
  • You can unplug any connection whenever you like, and we stop using that data.

Every member connects their own Google account, so your files stay yours alone until you decide to share them. We use drive.file and drive.readonly scopes thoughtfully to keep it that way.

6. How Long We Keep Things

Your content stays in your account while it's active. When you delete something, it doesn't vanish in a flash โ€” it goes to a Recycle Bin for 30 days. That's a grace window, because "a bruised reed he will not break" (Matthew 12:20), and a hasty moment shouldn't become a permanent loss. After those 30 days it's permanently removed. And if you ever want to delete your account and everything in it, just say the word and we'll honor it.

7. What You Can Control

  • See and edit your profile, preferences, and content anytime in User Settings.
  • Unplug any Google or third-party service when you're done with it.
  • Set visibility on posts, prayers, and creations โ€” community, friends, or private.
  • Mute or block notifications and members as you see fit.
  • Export or delete your data whenever you ask (see Reaching Us).

8. Your Rights

You have the right to see, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Depending on where you live โ€” under GDPR or CCPA, for example โ€” you may also have the right to restrict or object to certain processing. We honor these not just because the law says so, but because it's the right thing to do.

We also reserve the right to moderate content that pulls away from Scripture or breaks our community standards โ€” always with grace, always with transparency, and always with a path back (Galatians 6:1).

9. Community and Witness

Phoenix Ascent is built for believers and seekers who want to grow in grace, create with purpose, and walk together in truth. Some features are meant to be seen โ€” the Showcase, the Prayer Wall, the Community Feed โ€” so that what God is doing in you can encourage someone else (Hebrews 10:24). Whatever you publish to the community is visible to other members and may appear in shared views. Everything else stays private until you choose to share it.

10. Keeping Things Secure

"Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it" (Proverbs 4:23). We take that seriously for your data too. We use industry-standard safeguards โ€” encrypted transmission, scoped access, careful role controls โ€” and we keep reviewing them as the platform grows. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep the gates of this community well-guarded and accountable.

11. The Little Ones

Phoenix Ascent isn't made for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. Jesus said "Let the little children come to me" (Matthew 19:14) โ€” and that means we protect them, not profile them. If you believe a child has given us any data, reach out and we'll remove it.

12. When This Changes

As the platform grows, this policy may need to grow too. When we make a meaningful change, we'll update the date at the top and, when it matters, let you know inside the app. Using the platform after a change means you accept the update โ€” but we'll never quietly weaken your privacy.

13. Reaching Us

Questions, concerns, or a data request? We'd genuinely like to hear from you. Email us at pheonixrisinfromwithin@gmail.com, and we'll do our best to answer with care and in good time.

"May the Lord bless you and keep you; may the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; may the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace."
