Phoenix Ascent β€” Creative Ascent From Within Β· Last updated: July 15, 2026

"Let your 'Yes' be 'Yes,' and your 'No,' 'No.'" β€” Matthew 5:37

Before We Begin β€” Our Heart

Friend, this isn't fine print meant to hide anything from you. It's a fellowship of sorts β€” a plain-spoken promise between us about how we'll walk together in this community. We believe agreements should be made in the light, the way Jesus taught us to let our yes be yes.

Here's the simple version before the fuller one: Phoenix Ascent is a creative and spiritual home for writers, mentors, and creators who want to climb with Christ. When you join, you're stepping into a real community β€” one that has chosen to follow God and to build with that same heart. That means we treat each other with honor, we steward the work entrusted here carefully, and when someone stumbles, we aim for restoration over punishment.

The rest of this page lays out the practical ground we walk on. We've kept it honest and readable, because trust is built in the open. If anything ever feels off, tell us β€” we mean it.

1. Who We Are and What This Is

Phoenix Ascent (that's "we", "our", and "us") runs pheonixrisinfromwithin.online and this whole creative ecosystem β€” a studio for writers, mentors, and creators where biblically-grounded AI walks beside professional project and media tools. We're not a neutral space. We're a community that has chosen to follow Christ and to build with that same heart, and that commitment shapes everything in these terms.

By creating an account or using the platform, you're agreeing to walk by these terms. If something here doesn't sit right with you, please don't use the app just to argue against it β€” reach out and let's talk. We'd rather reason together than hold anyone to something they never really said yes to.

2. Joining and Your Account

Because this is a close-gated community, every new sign-up is welcomed by a steward first. That's not suspicion β€” it's care, the way a good shepherd knows the flock by name.

  • Truthful sign-up β€” give us your real name and email. An honest beginning matters.
  • Keep your keys β€” your password and sign-in are yours to guard; don't hand them to others.
  • One heart, one account β€” please don't make extra accounts to skirt a decision or dodge a restriction.
  • Thirteen and up β€” you must be at least 13 years old to join (more on the little ones below).
  • Steward approval β€” new members enter once a steward welcomes them in. Until then, you'll see a gracious "being reviewed" screen.

When you register, we ask you to agree to this page and our Privacy Policy. That consent is recorded β€” not to box you in, but so we both know what we've said yes to.

3. What This Place Is For

Phoenix Ascent exists to help you create, grow in grace, and climb with Christ. The studio holds your projects, journals, prayers, videos, podcasts, and books; the community holds your fellowship, prayers, and witness. We offer these tools so that what God is doing in you can take shape and encourage someone else (Hebrews 10:24). We may add, change, or retire features as the community grows β€” always with the same heart, never to pull the rug from under your work.

4. Your Work β€” Who It Belongs To

What you create here belongs to you. Your prayers, your pages, your chapters, your clips β€” they're yours. We don't claim ownership of your content, and we don't sell it.

When you publish something to the community (a post, a prayer, a showcase submission), you give us a simple, limited license to display it inside the app's community and shared views so other members can see and be encouraged. That's all β€” nothing broader. You can take it down anytime, and when you do, it stops being shown.

Please only post what you have the right to post. If something you upload belongs to someone else, honor that β€” "the laborer deserves his wages" (1 Timothy 5:18). We'll act in good faith if we receive a proper request about copyrighted material.

5. Walking in Grace: Acceptable Use

We want this to be a place where the eye and ear gates are kept (Job 31:1), where truth is honored, and where people feel safe to be real. So while we lean toward grace, we ask you not to:

  • Pull away from Scripture β€” post content that promotes false teaching or leads hearts away from God's truth.
  • Contaminate the gates β€” share sexual, violent, or profane material that wounds the community.
  • Harass or harm β€” target, bully, threaten, or demean another member.
  • Spam or deceive β€” flood the community, impersonate others, or mislead.
  • Break the law β€” upload illegal content or infringe rights you don't hold.
  • Tamper with the house β€” try to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or access systems you weren't invited into.

This isn't an exhaustive rulebook β€” it's a shared standard. When in doubt, ask: "Does this build up, or tear down?" (1 Corinthians 14:26).

6. Community, Moderation, and the Gate

We steward this community with grace and transparency. Members can flag content that concerns them, and stewards review those flags with care. We may remove content, send a gentle correction, or, when needed, act on an account. Our hope is always the Galatians 6:1 path β€” "restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness" β€” but we won't let harm go unguarded either.

We're not obliged to police every word, and we don't promise perfect judgment. But we commit to listening, to being fair, and to giving you a voice when something feels wrong.

7. When Access Is Paused or Revoked

Sometimes a steward may need to pause or remove someone's access β€” for serious or repeated harm, or to protect the flock. When that happens, we aim to do it with dignity:

  • You'll be told why β€” a reason is recorded and, where possible, sent to you by email.
  • You can respond β€” from the waiting screen you can submit a written dispute, and stewards will read it.
  • It can be temporary β€” access may be paused for a set time (a probationary period) rather than removed for good.
  • There's a path back β€” restoration is always on the table when the heart turns.

We reserve the right to suspend or revoke access when these terms are seriously or repeatedly broken. We do it to keep the community safe, never to be heavy-handed (2 Corinthians 13:10).

8. AI Tools and Spiritual Discernment

We bring biblically-grounded AI alongside your work β€” to help you write, repurpose, transcribe, and reflect. But AI is a tool, not an oracle. It can be wrong, and it can never replace the Spirit-led discernment God gives you. Please prayerfully review anything it generates before you publish or teach from it (1 Thessalonians 5:21 β€” "test everything; hold fast what is good"). You're responsible for what you choose to keep and share.

9. Connected Services

Features that connect to Google, YouTube, and other services are also governed by those services' own terms and policies. We don't control their practices and aren't responsible for them β€” but we use their data only for the feature you started, and you can unplug any connection whenever you like. More on that in our Privacy Policy.

10. What We Can't Promise (Disclaimers)

We offer this platform with a willing heart, but we can't promise it will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or perfectly secure. Software breaks, servers hiccup, and we're human too. The app is provided "as is" and "as available." We do our best, we fix things in good time, and we'll be honest with you when something's not right.

We don't guarantee any specific spiritual, creative, or ministry outcome from using the platform. The fruit comes from God (1 Corinthians 3:7) β€” we're just tending the soil.

11. When Things Go Wrong (Limitation of Liability)

To the extent the law allows, Phoenix Ascent isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Our responsibility is bounded by the good-faith service we actually provide. In no event shall our liability exceed what you've paid us, if anything, for the service giving rise to the claim.

This doesn't limit anything the law says we can't limit, and it doesn't excuse us from acting in good faith.

12. The Little Ones

Phoenix Ascent isn't made for children under 13, and we don't knowingly let them join. Jesus said "Let the little children come to me" (Matthew 19:14) β€” and that means we protect them, not expose them. If you believe a child has signed up, reach out and we'll remove the account.

13. When This Changes

As the community grows, these terms may need to grow too. When we make a meaningful change, we'll update the date at the top and, when it matters, let you know inside the app. Continuing to use the platform after a change means you accept the update β€” but we'll never quietly weaken your rights or the heart behind this place.

14. Reaching Us

Questions, concerns, or a request for us to revisit something? We'd genuinely like to hear from you. Email us at pheonixrisinfromwithin@gmail.com, and we'll do our best to answer with care and in good time.

"And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together… but encouraging one another."

β€” Hebrews 10:24–25
